Coaches Tab White, Warren Preseason All-SEC
11/02/2009 University of Mississippi

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Ole Miss sophomore guard Terrico White was a unanimous selection to the preseason All-SEC first team and junior guard Chris Warren was voted to the second team in the sixth annual Southeastern Conference men's basketball coaches preseason poll, announced Monday by the league office.

White, the 2009 SEC Freshman of the Year, was also a first-team preseason All-SEC pick by the media. He averaged 18.4 points in league play a year ago while filling in at point guard after Warren's season-ending knee injury. Warren averaged 19.6 points in 11 games before his injury last year, and was also picked by the media this season to the preseason All-SEC second team.

Twenty-seven different players received votes for the teams. Ole Miss tied for the most selections among all schools with two, joining Kentucky, South Carolina and Tennessee. White was one of six unanimous first-team selections, along with South Carolina's Devan Downey, LSU's Tasmin Mitchell, Kentucky's Patrick Patterson, Tennessee's Tyler Smith and Mississippi State's Jarvis Varnado.

The coaches preseason All-SEC first and second teams consist of a minimum of eight players on each squad, voted on by the SEC Head Men's Basketball Coaches. No ties were broken and no predicted order of finish was made.
