Rebels To Appear On Television 13 Times In 2010 Season
02/08/2010 University of Mississippi
OXFORD, Miss. - Ole Miss will have 13 baseball games broadcast on television in 2010 as a part of the Southeastern Conference's new contract with ESPN, the conference office announced on Monday.

The 13 games is second most of any team in the league behind defending national champion LSU (16 games).

"Certainly it's exciting any time you get the opportunity to play on television, but to get to play on television so many times is even more exciting," said Ole Miss head coach Mike Bianco. "Not only is this new arrangement with ESPN a benefit for the conference as a whole, but it's a tremendous boost for our program here at Ole Miss. Any time you get a chance to showcase your program nationally, it's a great thing."

Highlighting the television schedule for Ole Miss this season are seven home dates and six road contests. The Rebels will play on ESPNU four times, CSS four times, Fox Sports Net twice, SportSouth twice and ESPN2 once.

The home games on the schedule for the Rebels include two games against Florida (March 27 and 28 - CSS), all three games of the LSU series (April 23-25; ESPNU, FSN, CSS), and two games against Arkansas (May 7 and 8 - ESPNU).

The six road games are at Georgia (April 9 - ESPNU), at South Carolina (April 17 - SportSouth), the Mississippi State series (April 30 - May 2; FSN, SportSouth, CSS) and at Alabama (May 15 - ESPN2).

Game times will change for eight games with the release of the television schedule for the season. Home games changing their first pitch to accommodate television are Florida (March 27 - 6 p.m.), LSU (April 23 - 7 p.m., April 24 - 3 p.m.) and Arkansas (May 7 and 8 - both 7 p.m.)

Four road games will also see new start times, including Georgia (April 9 - 7 p.m.), South Carolina (April 17 - 2 p.m.) Mississippi State (April 30 - 7 p.m.) and Alabama (May 15 - 3 p.m.)

Once again this season, OleMissSports.com will provide live webcasts of all non-televised home games and select road games while offering audio for every contest through RebelVision. Click here to subscribe.
