Men's Golf Leads Squire Creek After Two Rounds

CHOUDRANT, La. - The Ole Miss men's golf team shot back-to-back scores of 291 Monday at the Squire Creek Intercollegiate to lead the field by six shots at the Squire Creek Country Club.

The Rebels (582) lead Southeastern Louisiana (588) by six.  Host Louisiana Tech and New Orleans are tied for third at 600.

Freshman Tom Brown fired a 1-under 70-73-143 and is in second place, trailing Southeastern Louisiana's Cedric Scotto by two.  Teammate Jonathan Randolph put himself in position to claim his third title of the year, by shooting an even par 144.  The Brandon, Miss., native stands in third just three back. 

Sophomore Billy Brozovich shot an opening round 76, but rebounded nicely for a 71 and is tied for fifth at 147.  Joe David shot 73-75-148 and is tied for ninth.

The final round begins Tuesday at 8:30 a.m., with the Rebels seeking to win their second straight tournament title.
