OXFORD, Miss. – Construction has begun of the new high definition video board at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium/ Hollingsworth Field. The $6 million integrated system is scheduled to be installed and operational for the 2008 season opener against Memphis.

The board, which is being designed, manufactured and installed by Daktronics Inc., can serve as a single giant display or be divided into multiple zones. In addition, the back of the display will use the latest LED technology to greet visitors.

A complete sound system with speakers above the video display rounds out the integrated system.
