Rebels on an Upward Trajectory

The Rebels finished 13th in the always tough SEC Championship but trust all is not lost and the very best is yet to come from these Rebels. Ole Miss entered the SEC Championships as the No. 14 team and closed the weekend in 13th place and ahead of No. 39 Auburn. Additionally, Ole Miss' three-round score of 891 is the best score at the SEC Championships since 2010 and the best score for the Rebels at Greystone since the tournament moved to the course in 2014. Despite the finish, Ole Miss posted its very best scoring average in program history in 2016-17, sporting a 298.47. #GoodThingsOnTheWay

Thank you Maria and Madisen!

Sunday's final round at the SEC Championship marked the final rounds of the collegiate careers for seniors Maria Toennessen and Madisen Bentley. Toennessen is a four-year letterwinner at Ole Miss while Bentley had donned the navy and red for three seasons. Thank you for laying a solid foundation for our success and much success in your future endeavours. #OnceARebelAlwaysARebel

Ole Miss Golf Is Family

One of the coolest things about Ole Miss golf is that once you're a part of it, you're family. For example, recent graduate Alison Hovatter and her mom, Lou, made the trip to Greystone to see the Rebels in the SEC Championship. Also Coach Henkes' parents, Steve and Caryl "Momma T"  Thompson made the trip to cheer on the Rebels. Additionally, when the Rebels weren't on the course or practicing they were cheering on the Ole Miss men's team who was tearing it up at Sea Island at the men's SEC Championships! #OleMissFamily

Young Guns

The Ole Miss women's golf team is in very capable hands with underclassmen, Pi-Lillebi Hermansson and Martina Flori back on the course next year. Of the Rebels who played in at least seven tournaments this season, they sport the lowest scoring averages with Flori checking in a 74.88 and Hermansson at 75.04. Hermansson's 75.04 scoring average as a freshman is the lowest scoring average for a freshman since Abby Newton posted a 75.93 scoring average her freshman season. Among the highly talented SEC women's golfers, Flori and Hermansson rank as the No. 49 and No. 50 golfers in the league.

Some "Funnies"

-Martina Flori admittedly didn't have her best round of golf on Saturday, but what she failed to tell us was that she was in mourning over the marriage of Rory McIllroy which also took place on Saturday #RoryWasBae

-Monday marked the Rebels' Choice Awards for the Ole Miss Athletic Department and the women's golf team got all dressed up to celebrate the athletic year. As you can tell, we still haven't mastered the art of the perfect picture:)

Memorable Moments From The 2016-17 Season

-Katy Harris made an 18-ft putt to win medalist honors at the Palmetto Intercollegiate at Kiawah Island.

-Three Rebels posted sub-70 rounds with Martina Flori's round of 67 at the Hawkeye El Tigre Invitational coming in as the lowest single round of the season

-Ole Miss records best scoring average in program history at 298.47

Catch us on the course in 2017-18 ... How Bout Dat????

How can you have five straight top 25 recruiting classes and look as bad as Ole Miss has this year. Easy lack of coaching fundamentals. Look at Mason at Vandy, nothing but 2 and 3 star recruits out of high school and he developers players that want to win. Hugh freeze has 3, 4 & 5 recruits and he expects them to win because of what they were in High School. Mr. Freeze you have not been teaching the fundamentals of football or winning in life. Mr. Freeze you have quit on your players because you have some false expectations of what they are instead of what you can develop in them. Either do your job or quit. Oh yea, please quit running your smoke and mirrors offense, everyone has figured it out. Run a physical offense that can open up holes for your running backs and then your pass attack want require 12 are 14 four and five star receivers. Mr. Freeze you have problems and you need to know that you are not smarter than the rest of the coaches in the SEC.

Not every pass can be caught. Too low, too short whatever. Not every Kelly pass is perfect. Records were broken by receivers also. But they sre not going to catch every ball thrown. The loss to Auburn was not one players fault. You win or lose as a team.
