Jami Clinton joined the Ole Miss Strength and Conditioning program in July 2005, and became the Coordinator of Olympic Sports in March 2008. She oversees a staff that trains every sport with the exception of football and she directly works with the volleyball, softball, and women's golf programs.

Before arriving at Ole Miss, Clinton was an assistant strength coach at the University of Alabama. During her four years there, she worked with the softball, volleyball, swimming/diving, tennis, and golf programs and also completed her master's degree in Human Performance. She began her career at Texas Christian University as an assistant strength coach in charge of the volleyball, women's basketball, swimming, tennis, and golf programs.

At Dallas Baptist University in Dallas, Texas, Clinton completed her bachelor's degree in Kinesiology in 1997. While at DBU, Clinton was a four year letterwinner for the Lady Patriot volleyball team.

Clinton is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association, and is Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified through the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association. She is also a Level 1 Club Coach certified through USA Weightlifting.
