Amanda Hoppert is in her third year as Ole Miss' Coordinator of Athletic Spirit Groups. She is the head coach of the Ole Miss Cheerleaders and oversees the Rebelettes. Both teams perform at football, men's and women's basketball and select volleyball and soccer games.

Hoppert is the manager of the spirit budget, travel for spirit squads and recruiting and fundraising for both teams.

In 2008, Hoppert directed the cheerleaders to the finals of the UCA College National Championships in Orlando, placing 14th in the nation in their first competition in over 15 years.

Hoppert earned her B.A. History in 2000 from the University of Missouri, where she was a cheerleader and performed at the 1998 Insight.com Bowl Game, the Big 12 Basketball Championships and the NCAA Basketball Tournament.

Following graduation, Hoppert went to Central Michigan University, where she received her M.A. in Athletic Administration and was the head cheerleading coach for two years. While at CMU, she led the team to NCA Nationals in 2001 and UCA Nationals in 2002.

After taking a year off from coaching, Hoppert became the Washington State University Spirit Coordinator and Cheerleading Coach in 2003. As the Spirit Coordinator, she oversaw the cheerleaders, dance team and mascot "Butch T. Cougar."

In her three years of coaching at WSU, she coached her teams at all away football games, the 2003 Holiday Bowl and the PAC 10 Basketball Championships. Both the cheerleaders and dance team attended the 2005 and 2006 USA Nationals in Las Vegas, and the dance team earned second place both years.

As an undergraduate student in 1998, Hoppert began working for Universal Cheerleaders Association and did camps throughout the Midwest Region. She became a Head Instructor for UCA in 2000 and continued to work for UCA during her time in Michigan and Washington.

In the summer of 2001, Hoppert did an internship in Germany to help promote cheerleading and UCA in Europe. Since 2000, she has been a judge for UCA and continues to judge local, regional, and national high school and all-star competitions.

Hoppert has been AACCA certified since 2000.
