Cliff McCain has served as a learning specialist in the office of student-athlete development since February 2014. Prior to his current position, McCain spent two years as an academic strategist, mentor and tutor. Additionally, he serves as an EDHE instructor in Freshman Year Experience.

McCain came to Ole Miss with over 20 years of experience in education. On the secondary level, he has served as an administrator, instructor and coach at several schools in Mississippi, Louisiana and Arkansas. He has been selected as the All-Star basketball coach on two occasions. McCain began his career on the collegiate level at Delta State University first as a graduate assistant coach and then as the administrative assistant and academic coordinator for the football team. In addition, he has served as an adjunct instructor at Holmes Community College.

McCain holds master's degrees in educational administration and history, as well as bachelor's degrees in insurance and real estate from Delta State University.

Cliff, a native of Drew, Mississippi, resides in Oxford with his wife, Laura. They have three children - Haley Middlebrook, Jack Willis and Hannah Willis, as well as three grandchildren.
