OXFORD, Miss. - Members of the Ole Miss track and field and football team received their degrees in a special graduation ceremony Monday afternoon at the FedEx Academic Success Center.

The special ceremony was held to honor the graduating members of the track and field team who were in Columbia, Mo., last weekend competing in the SEC Championships, as well as Jason Jones of the football team, who was out of town.

Track and field members participating in the ceremony included twin sisters Katie Breathitt and Kelsey Breathitt, manager Frank Logan, Amy McCrory, Jazmin Miller, Anne Threlkeld, Deonna Walton, Allegra Wells (also a member of the volleyball team), Jasmine Williams, Isiah Young and Riley Young.

Chancellor Dan Jones was on hand to present each graduate with their diploma. New athletics director Ross Bjork also spoke at the ceremony, congratulating the graduates on fulfilling their dream of a college degree and competing at the highest level academically and athletically.

Isiah Young received his diploma one day removed from repeating as SEC Champion in the 200 meters and finishing runner-up in the 100 meters.  Young was the men’s high points scorer at the meet with 18.5 points and earned the SEC Commissioner’s Trophy.
