FAQs
Q: What is the pay?
A: Pay depends on the experience and educational background of each individual. Pay starts at $8.50/hr.
Q: How many hours per week would be required?
A: Hours will vary. In each instance, the hours per week will depend on the availability of the tutor and the student-athlete. It is also dependant on tutorial needs for each subject area.
Q: When do the tutoring sessions take place?
A: Tutoring appointments are scheduled Monday-Thursday 8:00am-9:00pm, Friday 8:00am-5:00pm, and Sunday 5:00pm-9:00pm.
Q: Where does tutoring occur?
A: All tutoring takes place in the Office of Student-Athlete Academic Support, located in the FedExAcademic Support Center. Tutoring rooms are available for individual and group tutoring sessions.
Q: What subjects can I tutor?
A: We would like you to tutor classes from your chosen degree field in which you received an A or B. You may also tutor elective courses in which you received an A or B.
Q: How do I apply?
A: If you are an Ole Miss student, visit the UM student employment website. If you are not a student, visit the general UM HR website.
