Rebels' Choice Award Descriptions

*Rookie of the Year: A standout freshman who demonstrated outstanding athletic performance on the field. This award is solely based on performance and results throughout their season.
*Community Outreach Award: An athlete who is involved in the community above and beyond what is required. This individual serves as a model citizen for the community.
*Most Valuable Rebel: An overall standout athlete who demonstrated outstanding athletic performance on the field and has been instrumental to the team's success. This award is solely based on performance and results throughout their 2010 season.
*Hotty Toddy Award: An athlete who shows passion for the sport and team. Even though this individual might not necessarily be the highest performer, the team could not prosper without this individual's spirit, positive attitude and energy.
*Scholar Athlete of the Year: A student-athlete who has excelled in the classroom and best represents the athletic community academically. This student must be a junior or senior who maintains a GPA of 3.5 or above.
*Coach of the Year: A head coach who has had significant impact on their team's success and/or has aided in the teams great improvement over the last season.
*Team of the Year: A team that has had tremendous success over the last season or has improved greatly from the season before.
Play of the Year: A noteworthy moment during a competition or game where an individual or team showcased superior effort that resulted in a shift in momentum.
Fan Favorite Rebel: An all-around student-athlete who has served as an icon for Ole Miss Athletics.
Game of the Year: A striking performance by an individual or team which lead to an outstanding victory.
*Bennie Abram Award:A walk-on athlete who has a 3.0 GPA or better who exhibits great character through his actions on and off the field. While the student-athlete might not be the highest performer, he/she brings a great attitude to the team every day.
