AT OLE MISS (2011-12):

2012:

OUTDOOR: Competed at the NCAA East Preliminary in the 4x100 meter relay ... competed in the 100, 200 and 4x100 relay, helping his relay team to seventh place (40.56) at the SEC Championships ... helped the 4x100 team to event titles at the Ole Miss Invitational and Rhodes Open, including a time of 39.90 at the Ole Miss Invitational that ranks the squad fourth-best in school history ... helped the 4x100 team place fourth at the LSU Alumni Gold with a time of 39.93 ... ran a season-best 10.62 in the 100 meters at both the LSU Alumni Gold and Florida Relays ... won the Rhodes Open 100 meters (10.70) and placed fourth in the 200 (season-best 21.54) ... SEC Academic Honor Roll.

INDOOR: Competed in the 60 meters (6.96) and 200 meters (indoor personal-best 21.98) at the SEC Championships ... ran an indoor personal best in the 60 with a time of 6.94 at both the Tyson Invitational and Crimson Tide Indoor Opener.

2011:

OUTDOOR: Did not compete in track and field and earned a redshirt.

INDOOR: Competed in four meets with the Rebels during the indoor season ... recorded a season-best time of 6.96 in the 60 meters at the SEC Championships.

BEFORE OLE MISS: Set a new state record with a 100 meter dash of 10.29 seconds at state championship ... helped his 4x100 meter relay team set a school record of 43.71 seconds.

PERSONAL: Born Dec. 1, 1991 ... son of Rod and Lauren Shields ... father graduated from University of Mississippi Medical School ... enjoys hunting and fishing ... has plans to attend medical school and become a doctor.
