Ole Miss Grabs Three Event Titles at Armory Track Invitational

AT OLE MISS (2014):

2014:

OUTDOOR: Competed in the 100 meters, 200 meters, 4x100-meter relay and 4x400-meter relay at the SEC Championships ... clocked a season-best 11.96 in the 100 (26th place), helped the 4x100 relay place eighth (45.30) and the 4x400 relay place ninth (3:43.42) ... ran a personal-best 23.98 to place sixth at the LSU Invitational ... placed ninth in the 100 (11.99) at the LSU Invitational ... helped the 4x100 relay team place 10th at the Drake Relays (45.69) ... won the 100 (12.26) and 200 (24.85) at the MC Twilight Invitational.

INDOOR: Clocked a season-best 7.73 in the 60 meters at the UAB Blazer Invitational ... posted a season-best 24.69 in the 200 and 58.15 in the 400 at the Don Kirby Elite.

BEFORE OLE MISS: A two-time individual state champion at Brentwood Academy, competing for coach Cathy Cheeseman ... ran the 100 meters, 200 meters, 4x100 relay and 4x400 relay at the 2013 USATF National Junior Olympics ... won the 2013 TSSAA D-II state title in the 100 meters (11.71) and 200 meters (24.14), while also helping the 4x100 and 4x200 relay squads to state titles ... runner-up in the 100, 200 and 400 as a junior at the 2012 state meet ... led Brentwood to the TSSAA D-II team title as a junior and senior ... achieved Brentwood school records in the 100 (11.71), 200 (24.14), 400 (56.09), 4x100 relay (47.66), 4x200 relay (1:40.24) and 4x400 relay (3:57.24) ... team captain and female athlete of the year ... also competed with the Training Ground Track Club.

PERSONAL: Born April 4, 1995 ... daughter of Golden and Yolanda Tate ... twin sister, Deanna, is also on the Ole Miss track team ... brother, Golden, is a wide receiver with the NFL's Detroit Lions ... brother, Wesley, is a running back at Vanderbilt ... chose Ole Miss over Tennessee and Vanderbilt.
