McDonald Breaks Her Own Pentathlon Record in Season Debut
AT OLE MISS (2012-14):
CROSS COUNTRY: Finished 58th at the SEC Championship (8K time of 25:56.81) as Ole Miss was the SEC runner-up for just the second time in cross country program history ... placed 58th at the Greater Louisville Classic (8K time of 25:10.57) to help the team to a runner-up finish ... helped Ole Miss to a third-place team finish at the Commodore Classic with a 15th-place individual effort (25:17.94).
OUTDOOR: Posted two victories in the 5,000 meters -- at the LSU Invitational (15:08.80) and the MC Twilight Invitational (15:23.77) ... clocked a season-best 15:06.65 in the 5,000 at the Red Wolves Open.
INDOOR: Competed in two meets, running a personal-best 15:04.84 in the 5,000 at the Vanderbilt Invitational (10th-best in school history) and a personal-best 8:48.34 in the 3,000 at the Auburn Invitational.
CROSS COUNTRY: Competed in all six meets, finishing top three on the team in every race ... placed 46th overall at the NCAA South Region Championship (10K time of 31:14.94) ... finished 39th at the SEC Championship (8K time of 25:06.67) ... finished 29th in the "white race" at the Pre-National Invitational (8K time of 25:38.41) ... led the team and placed 50th overall at the Virginia/Panorama Farms Invitational (8K time of 24:54.4) ... led the team and placed 24th overall at the Commodore Classic (8K time of 25:39.06) ... led the team and finished fourth overall at the Brooks Memphis Twilight Classic (4-mile time of 21:35.76).
OUTDOOR: Competed in four meets, including the SEC Championships ... placed 16th in the 10,000 meters at the SEC meet, clocking a time of 31:44.69 that ranks him 10th-best in school history ... runner-up in the 5,000 meters at the Mississippi Open with a personal-best 15:05.37 ... clocked a 3,000 meter time of 8:52.47 at the MSU Conference Challenge, which ranks him top 15 in school history.
INDOOR: Did not compete indoors and was redshirted.
CROSS COUNTRY: Competed in five of six meets ... participated in the NCAA South Regional ... season-best 8K time of 26:54.6 at the Commodore Classic ... finished third for the Rebels and 43rd overall at the Memphis Twilight Classic (22:09.96 four-mile).
BEFORE OLE MISS: Lettered in both track and cross country at Hewitt-Trussville High School ... ranked fifth in the state of Alabama for his cross country time in the 5K (15:52.50) ... placed fifth at the 2011 Alabama 6A state cross country meet ... candidate for the Gatorade State Boys Cross Country Runner of the Year ... set school records in the 5,000 meters, 2,000 meters, two-mile (9:30), 4x800 relay and distance medley relay ... personal best of 4:30 in the mile.
