OUTDOOR: Competed at the NCAA East Preliminary Round in the discus throw ... placed 18th in the discus at the SEC Championships (154-4) ... captured a pair of discus titles during his freshman year, winning the Mississippi Open (170-0) and the UCA Open (142-8) ... his 170-0 ranks him fifth in the school record books ... competed in the hammer throw once (MSU Conference Challenge), making a toss of 128-4 that ranks him 10th in school history ... SEC Academic Honor Roll.
INDOOR: Competed in the shot put and weight throw throughout the indoor season ... produced a season best of 49-9.25 in the weight throw to place 10th at the Don Kirby Elite and move into the top 10 in the school record books ... season best of 44-6 in the shot put at the BSC Panther Indoor Icebreaker.
BEFORE OLE MISS: Lettered in track and field at Houston High School under his father, Don Harrison ... holds his high school's record in the discus with a throw of 183 feet ... three-time state finalist in the discus and shot put ... won the 2011 Tennessee 3A state title in the discus (175-10) as a junior ... placed third in the discus at the 2012 state meet (174-3) ... placed fourth in the shot put at the 2012 state meet (52-11.25) and ninth in 2011 (46-2.5) ... as a sophomore, placed fifth in the discus at the New Balance national championships and qualified for the meet as a junior, but did not participate ... personal best in the shot put is 53-2 ... included in the Commercial Appeal's Best of the Preps in 2010, 2011 and 2012 ... also played football and baseball in high school ... honor roll student.
