AT OLE MISS (2013):
OUTDOOR: Turned in one of the best freshman seasons ever by an Ole Miss thrower ... had an outstanding performance at the USA Junior Championships, placing fifth in the shot put (59-0.75) and seventh in the discus (183-5) ... both marks at USA Juniors earned him the No. 2 spot in the school record books ... participated in the discus at the NCAA East Preliminary Round ... threw the shot put and discus at the SEC Championships, placing 12th in the shot (52-7.25) and 17th in the discus (155-4) ... won event titles in the discus (167-7) and shot put (56-10.75) at the Ole Miss Invitational, while also posting a season best of 166-1 in the hammer throw that ranks him fourth-best in school history ... placed top five in the shot put (54-6.5) and discus (173-1) at the Pepsi Florida Relays ... placed 12th in the discus (179-3) at the Texas Relays ... runner-up in the discus (177-8) at the MSU Conference Challenge ... SEC Academic Honor Roll ... USTFCCCA All-Academic.
INDOOR: Competed in the shot put and weight throw at the SEC Championships, placing 16th in the shot (52-1.25) ... claimed the Don Kirby Open shot put title with a season-best 54-11.5 that ranks him third in the Ole Miss indoor record book ... posted a season best of 56-3.25 in the weight throw to finish seventh at the ASU Invitational and move into eighth place in the school record book.
BEFORE OLE MISS: Lettered in track three years in high school under coach Ernest Clark at Bloomington High School North ... achieved school records in the indoor shot put at 57-4, the outdoor shot put at 62-1 and the discus record at 190-5 ... sectional champion in the discus and shot, including a sectional record of 60-7.5 in the shot ... runner-up in the shot and fourth place in the discus at the 2012 Indiana state championships ... also lettered in football where he was the team MVP in 2011 and set a school record with 11 sacks in 2010.
