OUTDOOR: Placed eighth in the decathlon at the SEC Championships (6,543 points), becoming the first Rebel to score SEC team points in the decathlon since Joe Bernard in 1998 ... his 6,543 point total ranks him fifth-best in school history ... placed third among SEC decathletes in the pole vault (13-11.25) and third in the 1,500 meters (4:53.96) ... season-best 6-4.25 in the high jump was sixth-best among SEC decathletes ... posted a decathlon score of 6,102 to finish sixth at the Ole Miss Invitational ... SEC Academic Honor Roll.
INDOOR: Set a school record in the heptathlon with his score of 4,961 points that placed him eighth at the SEC Championships ... finished third among SEC heptathletes in the 1,000 meters (2:46.61) and fifth in the pole vault (14-1.25) ... ran a personal-best 8.67 in the 100-meter hurdles that ranks him 11th-best in school history ... indoor best high jump of 6-2.75 at the Don Kirby Elite ranks him top 15 in school history ... he first broke the school heptathlon record with a score of 4,629 at the Samford Multi's.
BEFORE OLE MISS: Lettered all four years in track and field at Christian Brothers High School under coach Carl Brock ... holds his school's pole vault record at 15 feet ... included in the Commercial Appeal's Best of the Preps in 2012 ... TSSAA Division II state champion in the pole vault and runner-up in the high jump as a senior ... placed fifth in the decathlon at the state meet as a senior ... helped lead the Purple Wave to a State Championship his sophomore year and a third-place finish the last two seasons ... achieved personal bests of 11.45 in the 100, 15.05 in the 110-meter hurdles, 52.59 in the 400, 4:56 in the 1,500, 6-4 in the high jump, 20-4 in the long jump, 122-7 in the javelin and 6,429 points in the decathlon ... graduated high school with a 4.0 GPA.
