Men's 4x100 Meter Relay Shatters School Record

AT OLE MISS (2011-13):

2013:

OUTDOOR: Participated in the 4x400-meter relay at the NCAA East Preliminary Round, just missing a spot at the NCAA Championships with a 14th-place finish (3:08.70) ... ran the 4x100 and 4x400 relays at the SEC Championships, helping the 4x1 unit place seventh with a time of 39.85 that ranks them fourth in school history ... helped the Rebels' 4x1 relay to a season-best 39.69 time at the Drake Relays, which ranks second in school history and placed fourth at the meet ... part of the Rebels' 4x1 unit that won a meet title at the Mississippi Open and ran the sixth-fastest time in school history at 39.90 ... helped Ole Miss clock a season-best 4x400 relay time of 3:08.25 at the Drake Relays, placing fifth ... part of the Rebels' 4x400 relay unit that won a meet title at the Ole Miss Invitational (3:09.27) ... ran a season-best 47.96 in the 400 meters to place seventh at the Ole Miss Invitational.

INDOOR: Ran the 400 meters and 4x400-meter relay at the SEC Championships ... helped the Rebels' 4x400 relay team to a seventh-place result in 3:12.17 ... clocked a personal-best 47.76 in the 400 meters at the Notre Dame Alex Wilson last chance meet ... ran a 47.95 in the 400 to place seventh at the Don Kirby Elite ... clocked a personal-best 21.68 in the 200 to place seventh at the Don Kirby Open.

2012:

OUTDOOR: Competed at the NCAA East Preliminary in the 4x100 meter relay and 4x400 meter relay ... helped the 4x400 relay team finish 13th (3:06.81) and just miss a spot at the NCAA Championships ... helped the 4x400 team to a fifth-place result (3:07.79) and the 4x100 team to seventh place (40.56) at the SEC Championships ... clocked a personal-best 47.96 to place seventh in the 400 meters at the Ole Miss Invitational ... helped the 4x100 team place first at the Ole Miss Invitational with a time of 39.90 that ranks the squad fourth-best in school history ... helped the 4x400 team place first at the Rhodes Open (3:10.10).

INDOOR: Helped the Rebels' 4x400 meter relay team place fifth (3:09.87) and the distance medley relay team place sixth (10:00.52) at the SEC Championships ... that DMR time of 10:00.52 ranks the squad fifth in school history ... helped the 4x400 relay team to runner-up finishes at the Rod McCravy Memorial (3:12.54) and Crimson Tide Indoor Opener (3:12.23) ... ran a season-best 48.65 to place ninth in the 400 meters at the Rod McCravy Memorial.

2011:

OUTDOOR: Member of the Rebels' 4x100 relay team that clocked a 40.16 to win the Ole Miss Invitational ... won the 4x100 relay at the Rhodes Open with a time of 41.99 ... finished fifth in the 4x100 relay at the War Eagle Invitational ... competed in the 400 meters in six meets ... placed fifth in the 400 meters at the Memphis Invitational with a personal-best time of 49.44 ... finished third at the Ole Miss Invitational in the 4x400 relay with a time of 3:10.51.

INDOOR: Competed in six meets for the Rebels during the indoor season ... finished fourth in the 4x400 relay at the Arkansas State Invitational with a time of 3:22.05 ... placed sixth in the 400 meters with a time of 49.65 at the Arkansas Invitational.

BEFORE OLE MISS: Placed third in the state with a time of 48.4 seconds in the 400 meters ... named track team MVP as a sophomore, junior and senior.

PERSONAL: Born Oct. 18, 1991 ... son of Ompie and Karen Nelson ... plans to attend law school.
