KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - In a season of remarkable feats for Ole Miss junior Janeah Stewart, she added another one Friday to lead the nationally ranked Rebel track & field team at the Tennessee Relays.

Stewart, a junior college transfer in her first year with the Rebels, won the shot put in Knoxville with a massive personal best of 17.86m/58-7.25. That moves her up to No. 2 in the NCAA this year behind only teammate and world leader Raven Saunders. Stewart also moved up to No. 5 in the current 2017 world rankings. On Thursday, she placed third in the hammer throw (58.91m/193-3), failing to break the school record for the first time in three tries this season.

Stewart claimed one of the Rebels' four event titles over the first two days of the Tennessee Relays, despite Connie Price-Smith's squad resting many of its top athletes for this meet.

Also victorious for the No. 18 Ole Miss women was sophomore Katy McAuley in the pole vault, tying her season best with a clearance of 4.00m/13-1.5.

Winning events for the 15th-ranked Rebel men were freshman Manny Foster in the long jump (personal-best 7.43m/24-4.5) and senior Dempsey McGuigan in the hammer throw (67.15m/220-4). McGuigan entered the weekend ranked sixth nationally in the hammer.

Other notable performances for the women included Alex Enright's personal-best javelin of 43.49m/142-8 to place third, Kieshonna Brooks' personal-best heptathlon score of 4,502 points for seventh place, and Kaira Simmons' season-best long jump of 5.83m/19-1.5 for eighth place.

Among the top men's performances were Brian Williams taking sixth in the shot put with a throw of 18.13m/59-5.75, Peyton Moss placing third in the decathlon with a score of 6,250, and Barclay Angle clearing a season-best 4.80m/15-9 in the pole vault for fourth place.

Saturday will be the final day of competition in Knoxville, featuring a number of relay events and more field events. The day begins with the women's discus at 9 a.m. CT. Live video on SEC Network+ will air from 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
