OXFORD, Miss. - First-year Ole Miss head coach Connie Price-Smith will take her Rebels to their second meet of the indoor track & field season and first of the 2016 calendar year for this weekend's Kentucky Invitational.

Held at the E.J. Nutter Field House in Lexington, the meet begins Friday with the weight throws and distance medley relays, while the rest of the competition takes place Saturday.

The 25th-ranked Ole Miss women will go up against the likes of No. 8 Kentucky and No. 17 Miami. Other notable teams among the 23-school field that the Rebel men and women will compete against are Louisville, Ohio State, Pittsburgh and Southern Illinois.

The majority of the men's and women's squads are expected to suit up this weekend, except the men's top distance runners who helped Ole Miss make a second straight appearance at the NCAA Cross Country Championships in late November.

In the Rebels' most recent appearance at the Nutter Field House, the Ole Miss men captured their best SEC indoor finish in 31 years with a fourth-place team result at last year's SEC Indoor Championships.

Head Coach Connie Price-Smith Says:
"We are excited about the start of track and field season and looking forward to seeing some good performances throughout the meet. Our athletes have worked hard over break and are ready to get on the track, in the circle, down the runway and over the bar."
