Complete 2017 Schedule

OXFORD, Miss. --
A pair of home meets at the newly renovated Ole Miss Track & Field Complex highlight the Rebels' 2017 indoor and outdoor schedule.

Following a high school invitational meet on March 23, Ole Miss will host the Joe Walker Invitational on March 24-25 that will showcase a number of college teams from the Midsouth region and around the country. The meet is named in honor of former Ole Miss track & field coach Joe Walker, who directed the program from 1979-85 and 1988-2012. During his 30 years at the helm, Walker guided the Rebels to 11 top-20 national finishes and coached his pupils to 124 All-America honors, 12 NCAA individual titles and 60 SEC individual titles.

The Rebels will finish the outdoor regular season with the Ole Miss Classic on May 6, at which the senior class will be honored.

"Our staff is very excited about the competitive schedule we have put together for the 2017 season," said second-year head coach Connie Price-Smith. "We ended this past year on a very high note and we plan to pick up right where we left off. We are also excited about being able to bring the great sport of track and field back to our community and are looking forward to setting some new records at our facility."

Following an exciting cross country season that has witnessed the Rebel men and women both advancing to the NCAA Championships together for the first time in school history, Ole Miss will kick off the indoor track season on Jan. 13-14 at the Commodore Invitational in Nashville, Tennessee. The indoor regular season also includes meets at Lexington, Kentucky (Jan. 20-21), Fayetteville, Arkansas (Jan. 27-28), Albuquerque, New Mexico (Feb. 3-4), Ames Iowa (Feb. 10-11) and Nashville again (Feb. 10-11).

The SEC Indoor Championships will be hosted by Vanderbilt in Nashville (Feb. 24-25). The NCAA Indoor Championships are in College Station, Texas this year (March 10-11).

Ole Miss will look to continue its great momentum from last year when the Rebels tied a school record with six indoor All-Americans and then broke a school record with 13 outdoor All-Americans in the first year under Price-Smith.

The Joe Walker Invitational, which will be the Rebels' first home meet since 2014, will kick off the outdoor season. The rest of the regular season will be a tour of SEC locations (Gainesville, Florida; Knoxville, Tennessee; Auburn, Alabama; Baton Rouge, Louisiana) in addition to a trip to the famous Mt. SAC Relays (April 14-15) in Torrance, California.

The 2017 SEC Outdoor Championships will be held in Columbia, South Carolina (May 11-13). The NCAA East Preliminary is hosted by Kentucky (May 25-27), while the NCAA Outdoor Championships will be conducted in Track Town USA, Eugene, Oregon (June 7-10).
