Cross Country Announces 2018 Schedule
Aug. 8, 2018

- Ole Miss men's and women's cross country has unveiled its schedule for the 2018 season, which covers seven meets this fall.

The Rebels will open the season in Memphis for the Brooks Memphis Twilight Classic on Sat., Sept. 1, at Christian Brothers University. Ole Miss follows that with a preview of the conference championship course with the SEC Preview on Fri., Sept. 7, at Auburn.

Two weeks later the Rebels will take a big trip to the Northeast for the Battle in Beantown on Fri., Sept. 21 at Boston College, before a key test at the Pre-National Invitational in Madison, Wisconsin, to close out the regular season on Oct. 13.

The SEC Championships will be held Fri., Oct. 26 at Auburn, setting the stage for the NCAA South Regional in Tallahassee, Florida on Nov. 9, and the NCAA Cross Country Championships at Wisconsin on Nov. 17.

Ole Miss returns a young but gifted roster on both the men's and women's sides that gained valuable experience both on the course and on the track last season. The Rebel men return two All-Region performers in sophomores Parker Scott and Waleed Suliman, while the reigning South Region champion Rebel women return two as well in senior Anna Braswell and sophomore Clio Ozanne-Jaques.

The Rebels will once again be led by Ryan Vanhoy, who is coming off a season in which he won NCAA South Region Women's Coach of the Year. Both the Rebel men and women have qualified for the national meet each of the last two years under Vanhoy.
