Ole Miss Looks to Rely on Seven Returning Offensive Starters, and Crop of New Talent

Career: Taken in the 13th round of the 2017 Major League Baseball Draft by the Chicago White Sox … Earned three letters, playing in 156 (153 starts) games over his Ole Miss career … Hit .287 with 30 doubles, six triples and nine home runs … Tallied 159 hits and 112 runs as a Rebel.

2017: Played in 55 games, all starts at second base … Ranked third in the SEC with a team-high four triples … Finished 13th in the conference in slugging percentage (.525) and 14th in on base percentage (.420) … Along with leading the team in triples, slugging percentage and on base percentage, paced the Rebels in walks (34) … Hit .302 with 61 hits, 46 runs, 10 doubles, four home runs and 30 RBI … Only Rebel on the team with over 100 total bases on the season (106) … Reached base in 51 of 55 games … Went 4-for-5 to post a new career-high in hits at No. 23 Auburn (5/20) ... Recorded a career-high four RBI against Kentucky (5/14) ... Hit 7-for-12 in the series win over No. 8 LSU while smacking his first career triple and scoring five runs over the three games (4/28-4/30) ... Tallied at least one hit in each game of the series against No. 5 Mississippi State (4/1-4/3) ...  Went 2-for-4 with one RBI and a double against UAB (3/15) ... Had a career day against UAPB with three hits and three RBI, giving Ole Miss the 7-6 win with his walk-off RBI single (3/18) ... Recorded hits in all three of the games against LSU, also crossing the plate in each game ... Had at least one hit in each of the three games against Stetson, including two RBI hits in game two of the series (3/7) ... Tallied his first career RBI against UCF in the game three win (3/1) ... Made his Rebel debut at second base on opening day (2/13).

HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Lake Brantley High School where he lettered four years and was coached by Eric Entrekin and Eddie Doyle ... Ranked Top 50th in the country by Perfect Game ... Was a Louisville Slugger High School All-American as a senior ... Made the 2014 Florida Collegiate All-Tournament team ... Named the Lake Brantley Athlete of the Year in 2014 ...
