Rebel Baseball Adds Chris Goudoras to Staff
Jan. 31, 2018

OXFORD, Miss.Chris Goudoras, a former staff member of the Philadelphia Phillies and New York Mets organizations, has joined the Ole Miss baseball program as Coordinator of Operations – Internal Affairs.

“I’m incredibly excited to be a member of the staff here at Ole Miss,” Goudoras said. “I’m looking forward to doing everything I can to help our program be successful on and off the field.”

Goudoras, a native of New York, comes to Oxford from the professional ranks where he most recently spent the 2017 season as a TrackMan intern with the Phillies. He also simultaneously served as a Senior Video Scout for Baseball Info Solutions. With the Phillies, he was responsible for operating TrackMan for all Reading Fightin’ Phils home games, as well as assisting the coaching staff with day-to-day analysis and improvement through quantifiable data.

At Baseball Info Solutions, where he also worked in 2016 as a video scout, Goudoras worked extensively with the use of video in the anaylsis of players. While with the company, he completed next-day checks of data collected during live games, trained and evaluated first-year scouts, and oversaw accuracy of pitch-charting data using video and pitch f/x. The Long Island native also assisted in the production of the 2018 Bill James Handbook, one of the league’s most thorough and comprehensive statistics book on every major league player, team and manager.

Prior to 2017, he interned twice separately in the New York Mets organization, once with the Brooklyn Cyclones and another with the Binghamton Mets, while at the same time achieving a degree in Economics-Finance at Bentley University, where he graduated in 2015.

With the Mets, Goudoras worked in-depth with the use of video, including videotaping whole games, and editing it for use by the front office.
