THIS WEEK FOR OLE MISS:
Ole Miss will close out the regular season with four road games this week, beginning with a Tuesday night contest at Arkansas State. The Rebels will then travel to take on Vanderbilt in the final series of the regular season. Thursday night's game will begin at 6:30 p.m. and be televised by ESPNU, while Saturday's game will begin at 6:30 p.m. and Saturday's finale will begin at 2 p.m.

NEXT WEEK FOR THE REBELS:
The Rebels will continue play with the Southeastern Conference Tournament in Hoover, Alabama. The tournament will kick-off on Tuesday at Regions Park. with seedings and match-ups still to be determined for the annual event.

PROBABLE PITCHING MATCH-UPS:
TUESDAY, 6:30 P.M.

OM - Josh Laxer, Fr., RHP
NOTING LAXER: Freshman right-hander Josh Laxer will make his fifth start of the season on Tuesday night against the Red Wolves. Laxer has posted a 4-0 record on the season and will be his first start since he worked a career-long 7.0 innings and struck out a career-high five batters while holding Southern Miss scoreless at Trustmark Park on May 1. Laxer holds a 5.25 ERA through 24.0 innings of work and has posted 14 strikeouts while walking only seven batters. The freshman has combined for two shutouts on the season.

A LOOK AT ARKANSAS STATE:
The Red Wolves of Arkansas State enter the midweek contest with an overall record of 28-21 and are coming off a series loss to Florida International over the weekend, picking up a win in the first game before dropping the last two. As a team, Arkansas State is hitting at a .274 clip and is led at the plate by Claude Johnson with a .355 batting average. Logan Uxa leads the team in power and run production with nine home runs and 38 RBI this season. The Red Wolves pitching staff holds a 4.52 ERA and has posted 342 strikeouts to 178 walks. Tuesday night starter Cody Woodhouse has posted a 1-2 record with a 5.09 ERA through five starts and 10 appearances. In his 23.0 innings of work, he has struck out 10 and walked 10 while batters are hitting at a .303 clip against the right-hander.

OLE MISS VS. ARKANSAS STATE:
Ole Miss and Arkansas State have faced off against each other 85 times with the Rebels holding a 65-20 lead in the all-time series. The two teams first met in 1951 with the Rebels splitting the two-game series with Arkansas State. Ole MIss dropped the first game 7-3 before claiming the second game by a score of 11-4 in seven innings.

LAST TIME OUT VS. ARKANSAS STATE:
Ole Miss and Arkansas State last met on February 21 in the home opener for the Rebels this season. Ole MIss picked up an 8-1 win over the Red Wolves.  Preston Overbey was 3-for-4 in that game, while Zach Kirksey belted out a three-run home run and also reached base on a walk and was HBP.

BIANCO VS. ARKANSAS STATE:
Ole Miss head coach Mike Bianco faced off against the Tennessee Volunteers 29 times, posting a 17-12 record in that time as head coach of the Rebels.

Matt Snyder has reached base safely in 10 straight games heading into the Tuesday night contest, while Auston Bousfield and Tanner Mathis have reached in seven straight games. Alex Yarbrough (5) and Will Jamison (5) round out the group who have reached in more than two straight games.
