Coghlan has hit at a .348 clip in the month of May and has raised his average 84 points to .260. He has recently moved into the Marlins' everyday lineup, starting 9 of the last 10 games. Through 43 games, he has 25 hits in 96 at-bats with six doubles, three triples, one home run and five RBI. He hit his first home run of the season last night against the Tampa Bay Rays. The Marlins are last place in the NL East with a 13-39 record, 18.5 games back of the division-leading Atlanta Braves.

#2 | Zack Cozart | SS | Cincinnati Reds
Cozart has seven multi-hit games in the month of May, including a 4-for-5 game with two doubles and two runs scored against the Mets. He is hitting at a .242 clip for the season, including .281 in the month of May. Through 46 games, he has 46 hits in 190 at-bats with 11 doubles, five home runs and 23 RBI. The Reds are second place in NL Central with a 33-19 record, the second-best mark in the National League and 1.5 games back of the division-leading St. Louis Cardinals.

#31 | Lance Lynn | RHP | St. Louis Cardinals
Lynn appeared on the cover of the May 27 issue of Sports Illustrated with four of his Cardinals teammates, and they have the best record in baseball with a 34-17 record. He is tied for fourth in the majors with seven wins as he holds a 7-1 record with a 2.95 ERA. He has 66 strikeouts against 24 walks and is holding batters to a .202 batting average against this season. In his most recent start, he tossed six shutout innings and allowed just two hits with a walk and nine strikeouts against the Los Angeles Dodgers. His next scheduled start is tonight against the Kansas City Royals.

#15 | Seth Smith | OF/DH | Oakland Athletics
Smith is hitting at a. 283 clip for the season, his best batting average since 2011 when he hit .284 for the season as a member of the Colorado Rockies. He has 12 multi-hit games, six in the month of May, including two three-hit games. Through 45 games, he has 47 hits in 166 at-bats with 13 doubles, five home runs and 24 RBI. The Athletics are second place in the AL West with a 30-23 record, 2.5 games of the division-leading Texas Rangers.
