Monday Morning – Practice at Creighton
Fresh off its opening round game against Virginia on Sunday, the Rebels took to the practice field at nearby Creighton, who happens to be the host of the 2014 College World Series. The Rebels again had a smattering of Rebel Nation follow them to practice to watch them prepare for Tuesday’s game vs. Texas Tech.  The Rebels also held court with the media prior to the start of practice.

Rebel Numbers Of Note:
0- Number of inherited runners the Ole Miss bullpen has allowed to score during the postseason.

4- Number of Ole Miss losses in walk-off fashion. The Rebels are 7-4 in games decided by a walk off.

21 – Number of games decided by one run this season. Ole Miss has played three one-run games in the 2014 postseason including a pair against Washington in the Oxford regional.

ICYMI: Center fielder Auston Bousfield made a “SportsCenter-esque” catch in centerfield in Ole Miss’ game against top-ranked Virginia. Check it out on in the photo gallery!

Also shutout to former Rebel Lance Lynn of the St. Louis Cardinals, who gave the Rebels a shout out for their trip to the 2014 College World Series. Check out this video here:

Monday Afternoon – Trip to the Omaha Zoo
Not everything about the trip to the College World Series is business, as the Rebels took a trip to the Omaha Zoo with their families. “Lions, Tigers and Bears … oh my!”  Rumor has it that some of the Rebel players and coaches even took a ride on a camel!

Several members of the Ole Miss baseball team documented the journey to the zoo for NCAA.com, in full flip-cam fashion. Make sure to keep an eye out on NCAA.com for the feature.

Ironically, the Omaha Zoo is near the historic Rosenblatt Stadium. Check out this Picture of the Day as head coach Mike Bianco re-enacts his home run in the 1989 College World Series
