Ole Miss Takes Over SEC Network Wednesday, July 8
July 6, 2015

OXFORD, Miss. – As part of the SEC Network Takeover (#SECNTakeover), Ole Miss will be taking over the national television network for 24 hours beginning Tuesday night, July 7 at 11 p.m. CT and continuing throughout the day Wednesday, July 8. With the help of Leigh Anne Tuohy, legal guardian of Super Bowl champion Michael Oher and most notably known for Sandra Bullock’s depiction of her life in the film The Blind Side, Ole Miss has slated 18 hours of original content from its school produced series “The Season” as well as three recent television events from the vault* to relive with fans.

“The Season” takes fans behind the scenes of Ole Miss Athletics throughout the 2014-15 season, featuring the Football, Rifle, Spirit Squads, Track & Field, Softball, Soccer,  Volleyball, Tennis, Women's &  Men's Golf, Women's & Men’s Basketball and Baseball teams. The series also includes a half-hour episode devoted to the preparation of each game throughout the Ole Miss Football season, beginning with fall camp.

Along with “The Season,” the SEC Network Takeover schedule also includes some iconic games from the last decade: the men’s basketball victory over Florida in the 2013 SEC Tournament, the baseball team defeating Vanderbilt to capture the 2006 SEC Tournament title and football’s memorable win over top-ranked Alabama last year.

*Takeover schedules were created from available television inventory; NCAA Championships were not available for re-air.
