2017 SEC Baseball National TV Schedule

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.
- The Ole Miss baseball team will play at least 11 games on national television for the upcoming 2017 season as the Southeastern Conference office released the schedule Wednesday morning. The Rebels will be featured on SEC Network 10 times throughout the season, while also appearing on ESPNU for one game.

People across the country will be able to get a taste of the best atmosphere in college baseball with five of the 11 nationally televised Ole Miss games airing from Oxford-University Stadium/Swayze Field, home of the Rebels. In addition, the other 27 homes games not on national television will be available for fans to watch on SEC Network+ and the WatchESPN app.

The Rebels first hit the national stage March 19 for a Sunday afternoon contest versus Vanderbilt, the first weekend of SEC play. The game will be the series finale between the two teams, beginning at 3 p.m. CT on SEC Network. One week later, the Rebels hit the road to face Kentucky with a pair of games set for a national audience. The cross-divisional matchup starts Thursday night (March 23) at 6 p.m., while the series concludes Saturday morning with an 11 a.m. first pitch. Both games against the Wildcats will air live on SEC Network.

Ole Miss will begin rivalry weekend early, March 30, when it hosts Mississippi State at Swayze Field for a Thursday night battle on ESPNU.

Fast forward to April, Alabama makes a trip to Oxford, where the Sunday game (April 9) is set for a SEC Network broadcast. During the last week of the month, Ole Miss will appear on national TV three times in a span of four days. First, the Rebels face Mississippi State (April 25, SEC Network) for the annual Governor’s Cup in Pearl, Mississippi. Two days later, Ole Miss travels to Fayetteville, Arkansas (April 27-29). Making the trek to Gainesville, Florida for the first time since 2013, the Rebels will close out a series against the Gators on SEC Network (May 7).

The final home series of the 2017 regular season, a divisional showdown with Texas A&M, will see its fair share of the national spotlight. The first game of the series could possibly air on national television as well with Friday, May 12 designated as a wildcard selection. Regardless, the final two games will be nationally televised with a Saturday night contest (May 13) and a Sunday matinee (May 14) on SEC Network. One week later, another wildcard selection (May 18) could feature the Rebels concluding conference play at Auburn.

ESPN networks will combine to carry 98 SEC baseball games, including 75 on SEC Network. Coverage of the conference sport on national television has continued to grow since the SEC Network launched in the fall of 2014.

Opening night of conference play, Friday, March 17, SEC Network returns Bases Loaded coverage, featuring every SEC team in a live compilation of seven games. Every Bases Loaded game is also available in its entirety, streaming live via SEC Network +.

This year’s schedule also includes five television wildcard selections, allowing the SEC Network the opportunity to determine the best television matchup at a later date. The schedule closes out with SEC Network airing the entirety of the SEC Baseball Tournament (May 23-27), outside of the Championship game on ESPN2 on May 28.

The Rebels open the 2017 campaign on Friday, February 17 against East Carolina at Swayze Field. First pitch is set for 4 p.m. CT on SECN+.
