Recap

Ole Miss Head Coach Andy Kennedy

On the final minute…

“The thing that is disheartening is our final two possessions, we don’t get a shot. Sebastian (Saiz) is our best rebounder per minute, and that’s why he’s playing more. He was trying really hard and threw the ball to them, and then I don’t know if he was set or not set (on the illegal screen). We had a number of opportunities where if we could have gotten a stop or a put back then maybe the outcome would have been different.”

On home court losses…

“A tried and true formula is protecting your home floor if you have any aspirations of doing anything meaningful at the end of the season. We’ve lost two overtime games and on a last second shot. We’ve been in every game, but our inability to make the play has cost us. Our nonleague schedule has been competitive, and that will pay dividends for us.”

On SEC play…

“We have to as quickly as possible put this behind us and get our focus on the first week without Marshall (Henderson). We have to sure up some areas we are deficient in, namely rebounding and defense.”
