Coach Andy Kennedy Postgame Quotes

On the game:
"The game was really what I anticipated. I tried to convey that to our guys. Tennessee is a physical team. It's very difficult to beat someone two times, especially in about a three week period. We had Murph (Murphy Holloway) to his left hand, and Marshall (Henderson) squared up. We just weren't able to finish early. We were defending well enough to stay in the game." 

On Marshall scoring 24 points in the second half:
"Nothing really changed. I don't think they defended him any differently in this game then they did the last game. We have to do a better job of executing and getting him looks. He had some pretty good looks in the first half and missed them. Once he got one going, he got combustible and started knocking down shots."

On Marshall getting in a rhythm:
"He got in a rhythm. He was only 0-for-4 in the first half. They had complete control of the tempo in the first half. A lot of that is because we could never get a shot."

On the team and their resiliency:
"It's a pretty tough group, resilient is a good word. It is a group that believes we're supposed to win, and they're finding ways."

On the game:
"Marshall (Henderson)did a good job of making shots. He stepped up and made some big shots. Other than that I think we did a solid job."

On the end of the game:
"The good part is putting yourself in position to make a game winning shot. We needed to make those free throws and get key stops. It's a tough lesson, and we have to be able to move on."

On the team's attitude:
"Our guys did a good job of staying focused and running the offense."

On team issues:
"Our only issue was the turnovers, 21 turnovers are not good and tough to do on the road."

On team moral after the game:
"You come in here trying to win a ball game, have an opportunity to win the game and come up short. It makes you think about key plays, missed free-throws and turnovers. We didn't get a key stop. It's been the same the last few games, and we just need to keep our heads up."
