Recap

Ole Miss Head Coach Andy Kennedy

On defense…

“In game one, they got to the foul line for 42 attempts. We made a concerted effort to keep them in front of us. We lead the league and are third in the country in blocked shots, and we do it by committee. AJ (Aaron Jones) was very active. Saiz was physical, and that’s something that freshmen typically aren’t.”

On team contributions…

“We’re improving as a team. We need Marshall (Henderson) and Jarvis (Summers) to be all-league caliber players, and they are playing as such. We have to get contributions from different people, and do it by committee. Anthony (Perez) is getting more comfortable and the freshmen are getting more minutes, so we’ll see more production.”

On players understanding roles…

“That’s a work in progress. I’m proud of the progression our young guys are making. I’m excited for the leadership we are getting out of Jarvis Summers. He really led us tonight, and I want his leadership with the ball.”
