Ole Miss Head Coach Andy Kennedy

On Marshall Henderson and Jarvis Summers-

”Jarvis has been our leading scorer coming into this tournament. He’s been getting into foul trouble both nights and really hasn’t gotten into any offense rhythm. He’s our most experienced player. He’s played more minutes than anyone else on our team. I trust him. I count on him to do a number of things. In the second half, when they hit us in the mouth and had us on our heels, he was the guy that made plays for us. And Marshall does what Marshall does…he flails around and takes crazy shots and then all of a sudden you look up and he’ll knock down two or three in a row and it’ll just change the whole flow of the game. We try to ride him when he’s hot.”

On Marshall Henderson being fouled on 3-point attempt-

“When you foul a three point shooter, it switches momentum. It’s such a huge play. When we get (Henderson) to his right hand, he has great elevation. And that’s happened. He’s probably been fouled on more three pointers singlehandedly than all the other players I’ve coaches at Ole Miss combined.”

On Penn State’s Guards-

“I think they’re really good. I think Pat’s got a good basketball team. I had not seen them at all. Our focus for this tournament was Georgia Tech. I hadn’t looked at either Penn State or St. John’s. I was really impressed by what I saw by both teams last night. Polar opposites but watching Penn State it was very similar to the teams that knocked us out of the tournament last year in La Salle. By that, I mean they’ve got four guys that can stretch each other. They are very very difficult off the dribble. Tim Frazier is about the fastest guy with the ball in college basketball. Having gone through what he has gone through in relation to injuries, I’m really happy for him, to see him play with such explosion. I like their team. I like there toughness. They had an overtime game against one of the most athletic teams in the country in St. John’s last night.”
