OXFORD, Miss. - Rebel fans will have a chance to meet the Ole Miss men's basketball team this Saturday prior to the home football game against Arkansas.
The team will be signing autographs and handing out posters and schedule cards from 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the Rebel Fanfare, which is located across All-American Drive from the Starnes Center and John Vaught statue on campus. The football game will kick off at 11:21 a.m.
Andy Kennedy's squad began official preseason practice this past Friday. Noticeable in the first few practices is the length of this year's team, with the majority of players standing 6-foot-4 or taller with long wingspans - an attribute that should enhance the quality of the team's defense this season.
A free exhibition game on Thursday, Nov. 3 will give fans an early opportunity to see this year's team in action. The Rebels will tip off against North Alabama at 6 p.m. at Tad Smith Coliseum.
The night before Ole Miss' football homecoming game, the hoops team will host its season opener versus Louisiana-Monroe at 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 11.
Season tickets can be purchased online or by calling the Ole Miss Athletics Ticket Office at 662-915-7167 or toll free at 1-888-732-8587 (in state).
