Rebels Down Hilltoppers On The Road
Junior Jarvis Summers scored 24 points and senior Marshall Henderson added 23 points as Ole Miss come from behind to down Western Kentucky 79-74 on the road Monday.

OLE MISS TAKES DOWN DUCKS ON THE ROAD
Junior G Stefan Moody led Ole Miss with 22 points, including a career-best 4 3-pointer, as the Rebels picked up a road win over the Oregon Ducks 79-73. Sophomore F Sebastian Saiz added a season-high 17 points and 5 rebounds for Ole Miss, which also had three players off the bench in double figures and outscored the Ducks 35-5 off the bench. The Rebels also dominated the points in the paint outscoring Oregon  41-28. The Rebels are now 13-6 against Power-5 conference teams under head coach Andy Kennedy
EMERALD COAST CLASSIC CHAMPS
Junior G Stefan Moody scored a career-high 26 points,  including 17 in the second half, as Ole Miss handed Cincinnati its first loss of the season with a 66-54 victory in the championship of the inaugural Emerald Coast Classic. The Rebels scored six straight points to break a 14-14 tie, retaining the lead the rest of the way. Ole Miss held Cincinnati in check offensively, as the Bearcats shot a season-low 30.4 percent from the floor and went almost 10 minutes without a field goal. It was the second-straight regular-season tournament title for Ole Miss. Moody was named the tournament MVP and senior G Jarvis Summers was named to the all-tournament team.
REBELS TAKE DOWN RANKED FOE
Senior G Jarvis Summers led the Rebels with 23 points, while fellow senior G LaDarius White added 18, including 16 in the second half, as Ole Miss defeated No. 23 Creighton 75-68 at the Emerald Coast Classic. Junior G Martavious Newby and senior G M.J. Rhett added nine points apiece for the Rebels. Summers was 9-of-10 at free-throw line and Newby was 4-of-4 - all in the final 20 seconds - as the Rebels finished 19-of-21 overall from the line. It marked Ole Miss' first win over a ranked opponent since knocking off No. 18 Wisconsin in the 2013 NCAA Tournament. 
MOODY BREAKS OUT
Junior G Stefan Moody scored a career-high 26 points,  including 17 in the second half, as the Rebels knocked off Cincinnati to claim the Emerald Coast Classic crown. The junior college transfer was 9-of-17 (.529) from the floor and hit 3-of-7 (.429) from behind the arc in the game after starting the season shooting just 28.9 percent from the floor and hitting only 3-of-21 from 3. Moody scored 22 points and hit a career-high 4 3-pointer in the Rebels win at Oregon and  is averaging 20.0 ppg and has hit 8-of-16 (.500) from 3-point range over his last three games. 
WHITE HOT
Senior G LaDarius White scored 18 points off the bench in the Rebels' win over No. 23 Creighton, including 16 in the second half to spur the Ole Miss comeback. White was a perfect 6-of-6 from the field in the half including 2-for-2 from 3, and knocked down both free throw attempts. Ole Miss trailed the Bluejays by six at the half before White spurred the Rebels' comeback with a player efficiency rating of +21. White is averaging 12.4 ppg over his last seven games and is shooting 51.7 percent (31-60) from the floor after starting the season just 2-of-9 from the field. 
OLE MISS VERSUS WESTERN KENTUCKY
The Rebels are 4-0 all time against Western Kentucky after knocking off the Hilltoppers 79-74 in Bowling Green last year. See page 13 for recap.  
POWER CONFERENCE WINS
The Rebels' win over Oregon gave Ole Miss another win over a power conference after the Rebels posted victories  over the AAC (Cincinnati) and Big East (Creighton) at the Emerald Coast Classic earlier this year. It also gave the Rebels victories over teams from three different major conferences for the first time since 2011-12, when Ole Miss earned wins over the ACC (Miami), Big East (DePaul) and Big Ten (Penn State). The Rebels are now 13-6 against Power-5 conferences under head coach Andy Kennedy
REBELS HITTING FREEBIES
Ole Miss ranks second in the SEC hitting 77.6 percent of its free throw attempts. The Rebels hit 19-of-21 attempts (.905) against Northern Arizona and have hit 112 of their last 140 from the line (.800). Seven Ole Miss players are shooting at least 73.9 percent from the line, including junior G Stephan Moody who is third in the SEC at  29-of-32 (.906) from the line. 
KENNEDY ADMINISTRATION BEGINS NINTH YEAR
In nine seasons under Mississippi native Andy Kennedy, Ole Miss has a 177-102 record, one SEC Tournament championship, two SEC West championships, six 20-win campaigns and six postseason berths, which includes an NCAA Third Round appearance and pair of trips to the NIT Final Four. The all-time winningest coach in school history, Kennedy has averaged more than 21 wins per season in his eight full years in Oxford.

SUMMERS NAMED TO COUSY AWARD WATCH LIST
Senior G Jarvis Summers was one of 35 players recently named to the Bob Cousy Award Watch List by Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. The annual honor, named for Hall of Famer and former Boston Celtic Bob Cousy, recognizes the top point guards in men's college basketball.
SUMMERS EARNS PRESEASON HONORS
Senior G Jarvis Summers was named to the All-SEC first team in a preseason poll of both the leagues' coaches and media. He was also selected the preseason SEC Player of the Year and first team all-conference by CBSSports.com. In addition, Summers was named the second-most undervalued player in the nation by Jay Bilas, who rated Summers the ninth-best point guard in the nation. 
OLE MISS `D' AMONG BEST IN THE LEAGUE
The Ole Miss defense is among the top units in the league, ranking seventh in the SEC in scoring (62.9 ppg), third in field goal percentage defense (.349), ninth in steals (7.6/game) and sixth in blocked shots (4.3/game). Ole Miss is holding opponents to only 29.1 percent from behind the arc, which ranks third in the conference. 
 
SCOUTING THE HILLTOPPERS
Western Kentucky  is 3-4 on the young season after falling 93-81 at Murray State last Saturday. The Hilltoppers are 0-3 on the road this season. WKU is led by senior T.J. Price, who is averaging a team-best 14.1 ppg and second on the team pulling down 5.7 boards a game. Price is shooting 43.8 percent from behind the arc, but as a team the Hilltoppers are shooting just 31.9 percent. Senior George Fant is pulling down a team-best 7.1 boards per game and WKU is averaging 36.9 rpg as a team. The Hilltoppers are turning the ball over an average of 16.7 times per game. 
REBS PICKED SIXTH IN PRESEASON POLL
Ole Miss was projected to finish sixth in the SEC preseason media poll. Kentucky was predicted as the league champion followed by Florida, Arkansas, LSU and Georgia.
