INDIANA (2003-2004): Earned two letters while playing at Indiana University ... As a sophomore in 2004, led Indiana with 794 yards rushing on 231 carries, with five touchdowns ... Averaged 72.2 yards per game, which ranked sixth-best in the Big Ten Conference ... Also caught 14 passes for another 80 yards ... His 32 points (five TDs and one two-point reception) ranked third on team in scoring ... His 72.2 yards of total offense was second on team behind QB Matt LoVecchio, and is 79.5 all purpose yards also ranked second on team ... Went over the 100-yard rushing mark twice during sophomore season in 2004 as he picked up 115 yards on 23 carries at Kentucky and 110 yards on 22 carries against Minnesota ... Played in 12 games, starting three ... Finished his freshman campaign with 225 carries for 938 yards and seven touchdowns ... His 938 yards rushing were the most for a Hoosier freshman since Alex Smith ran for 1,475 yards in 1994 ... Among several productive games for Green-Ellis was a 42-carry, 203-yard performance at Penn State to join Alex Smith and Anthony Thompson as the only three freshman running backs in Indiana history to run for over 200 yards in a single game ... His first career 100-yard game was a 20-carry, 107-yard outburst against Indiana State ... Came close to hitting the 100-yard mark against both Michigan State and Illinois, carrying the ball 24 times for 90 yards against the Spartans and 25 times for 98 yards with a touchdown against the Illini.

HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at St. Augustine High in New Orleans, spending time at both running back and fullback ... Earned All-District recognition from The Times-Picayune and The Clarion Herald after his senior season ... All-City and All-Metro selection ... Ran for 155 yards and a touchdown in a playoff game against the third-ranked team in the state of Louisiana ...
