Kane Wommack is in his second year as a defensive graduate assistant at Ole Miss, assisting with the safeties.

He came to Ole Miss from Jacksonville State in Jacksonville, Ala., where he helped with the defensive line from January 2011 to December 2011. Prior to that, Wommack was a quarterbacks coach at Tennessee-Martin from July 2010 to January 2011. He has also spent time at Southern Miss as a volunteer and student coach.

Wommack played fullback at Arkansas from 2005-06 as the team went on to win the SEC Western Division in 2006. He later played tight end and fullback at Southern Miss from 2007-09 as the team made three consecutive bowl game appearances.

Wommack earned his bachelor's degree in political science from Southern Miss in December 2009. He graduated from Fayetteville High School in Fayetteville, Ark., in 2005.

The son of Ole Miss defensive coordinator Dave Wommack, Kane and his wife, Melissa, were married on June 4, 2011.
