Tim Mullins, MS, ATC, currently serves as Head Athletic Trainer for the Ole Miss athletic training staff. Mullins returned to Ole Miss in 1997 and served as the senior athletic trainer working with the Rebel football program before being promoted to his current position in 2000. Mullins has several ties to Rebel athletics. The Oxford, Miss., native served as a student athletic trainer at Ole Miss from 1986-91, where he worked with all sports, particularly football and men's basketball. He is a 1991 graduate of the University of Mississippi with a B.S. degree in Education. His father, Leroy, served in the Ole Miss Athletic Department for 29 years, starting as an athletic trainer and working his way up to his final post of Director of Sports Medicine. Before returning to Ole Miss, Mullins served as the head football trainer at Tennessee-Martin for four years. Prior to accepting his first full-time assignment, he worked as a graduate assistant trainer at the University of Tennessee from 1991-93, primarily handling the baseball team. He earned his Master's Degree in Adapted Physical Education from Tennessee in 1993. Mullins has other athletic training experience during his career. He worked as a trainer at the Senior Bowl in both 1992 and 1993, and worked at the NFL's Dallas Cowboys' training camp in 1990 and with the Atlanta Falcons in 1988 and 1989. He has one son, Hayden. |
