Freeze Completes First Full-Time Staff At Ole Miss

Batoon, Siskey Join Rebel Staff From A-State

Tyler Siskey joined Hugh Freeze's first Ole Miss staff as Coordinator of Recruiting Development in February 2012. Siskey spent the past four seasons, including the final two alongside Freeze, as Arkansas State's wide receivers coach.

During Siskey's first season at ASU, wide receivers Brandon Thompkins and Jahbari McLennan led the team in receptions and receiving yards on a team that completed the season with the fourth most passing yards in school history.

ASU was again led in receptions and receiving yards in 2009 by receivers Thompkins and Taylor Clements, who both set career-best numbers under Siskey's watch. Freshman Taylor Stockemer also emerged as a dangerous threat for the Red Wolves last season, recording 16 catches for 347 yards and a team-best 21.7 yards per catch.

While Stockemer continued to put up impressive numbers last season as a sophomore, Siskey also coached All-Sun Belt Conference selections Dwayne Frampton and Allen Muse.

Led by the all-conference duo, ASU set school records for passing yards, completions, passing touchdowns and passing yards per game. ASU's top four leaders in receptions and receiving yards were all wide receivers and Siskey's receiving corps also accounted for 18 of A-State 23 touchdown receptions.

Siskey mentored Frampton, Muse, Stockemer, Anthony Robinson, R.J. Fleming and Carlos McCants, all of whom recorded career-best receiving numbers in 2010. Frampton led the team with 69 receptions, the second most in school history, for 738 yards that rank as the seventh most ever at ASU. Frampton also recorded six touchdown receptions that tied the third most in A-State history.

In 2011, Frampton broke the Red Wolves' single-season record for receptions and ranked 13th nationally in catches, and he joined Josh Jarboe and Stockemer as All-Sun Belt honorees. Siskey helped ASU dominate the Sun Belt statistical categories and finish the regular season ranked top-25 in the nation in total offense and passing offense.

Siskey came to ASU after serving the previous four years at St. Paul's Episcopal School in Mobile, Ala., where he helped lead the Saints to the 2007 Alabama Class 5A state championship as the team's offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach.

Siskey held the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach positions at St. Paul's for three seasons after serving one year as the Saints' defensive coordinator and secondary coach. His last three years at St. Paul's, he was responsible for the creation and execution of St. Paul's offensive game plan for a unit that averaged 35 points a game and 420 yards of total offense in 2007.

The 2007 St. Paul's offense piled up over 6,300 yards of total offense, a 3,800-yard improvement since Siskey took over the offense in 2005.

In addition to the 2007 state championship, Siskey also helped guide St. Paul's to the 2005 and 2006 state quarterfinals. The 2006 team's offensive production improved 1,000 yards from 2005 and averaged 37 points a game. The 2005 team increased its total offense by 2,500 yards over the 2004 squad.

Siskey helped guide the Saints to the 2004 state playoffs, working as the secondary coach and assisting the head coach in game planning and execution of the defensive game plan.

Prior to joining the St. Paul's coaching staff, Siskey was an offensive graduate assistant at Arkansas State for the 2002 and 2003 seasons. He assisted with offensive line in 2002, wide receivers in 2003 and quarterbacks in the spring of 2004.

Siskey also held an offensive graduate assistant coaching position at Northwestern State University, where he was responsible for coaching tight ends. In 2000-01, he helped lead the Demons to the NCAA Division I-AA playoffs and a national ranking, and the 2001 Northwestern State team also upset TCU 27-24 in overtime.

Siskey worked as a student assistant coach at Troy during the 2000 season. During his time at Troy, Siskey worked with the wide receivers, assisted the offensive staff in game planning, helped with player evaluation and assisted in recruiting.

Siskey earned his master's in education from Northwestern State in 2003 and his bachelor's degree from Troy in 2000.
