OXFORD, Miss. – Six of the 2016 Ole Miss senior football players have accepted invitations to postseason all-star teams in hopes of pursuing a professional playing career.

In addition to Reese’s Senior Bowl invitees Evan Engram (story) and Chad Kelly (story), the following Rebels will also perform in front of NFL scouts at all-star events: Quincy Adeboyejo (East-West Shrine Game), D.J. Jones (NFLPA Collegiate Bowl), Akeem Judd (College Gridiron Showcase) and Rommel Mageo (College Gridiron Showcase).

Adeboyejo, a wide receiver from Cedar Hill, Texas, had 35 catches for 456 yards and a touchdown as a senior. He finished his four-year career with 106 grabs for 1,454 yards and 11 scores, and will be forever remembered for his tip-drill catch and score in the 2015 road win over eventual national champion Alabama. Adeboyejo’s 11 TD catches are tied for 11th-most in program history.

Jones was a force in the middle of the Rebels’ defensive line, compiling 70 tackles, 8.5 tackles for loss, six sacks, a fumble forced, fumble recovered and interception over his two-year Rebel tenure after transferring from East Mississippi Community College. The Greenville, South Carolina, native was one of the strongest Ole Miss players with a 400+ bench press and 700+ squat.

Judd assumed feature back duties in 2016 and rushed for 826 yards and six touchdowns in 12 games. His two-year totals as a Rebel included 241 carries for 1,247 yards (5.2 average) and nine TDs, as well as 24 catches for 160 yards and another score. The Durham, North Carolina, native was one of three players to rush for a TD against Alabama’s defense this past season.

Mageo came to Ole Miss in 2016 as a graduate transfer from Oregon State. The Pago Pago, American Samoa, native totaled 44 tackles with 1.5 TFLs and a pass defended. He made four starts at Mike linebacker and led the Rebels in tackles on two occasions.
