OXFORD, Miss. – The 2012 East-West Shrine Game® will have a distinct Ole Miss flavor, as Brandon Bolden makes it a trio of Rebels to compete in the 87th annual all-star event. He will be joined by Kentrell Lockett and Bradley Sowell.

The game takes place Jan. 21 at 3 p.m. CT at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Fla., and will be televised live on the NFL Network. The event benefits Shriners Hospitals for Children®, an international pediatric specialty health care system.

A running back from Baton Rouge, La., Bolden finished his career ranked second in school history in both total touchdowns and rushing TDs, third in all-purpose yards and fourth in rushing yards. He was an All-SEC honoree in 2010 and named Ole Miss’ Most Valuable Senior by the Jackson Touchdown Club in 2011.

A total 62 NFL Hall of Famers have played in the East-West Shrine Game along with 52 players currently on active NFL rosters. Bolden is the 22nd Rebel all-time to accept an invitation and the ninth in the last five years.
