Ole Miss To Hold Fan Pro Day on March 25
Feb. 28, 2018

OXFORD, Miss. – Ole Miss fans can take their turn at the 40-yard dash, vertical jump and other NFL Combine-style events, as the athletics department will hold Fan Pro Day on March 25 at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium.

As part of the Ole Miss Year of the Fan, children in grades 8 or below, Ole Miss students, and adults over the age of 22 can choose from 10 different events to test their skills and measure them against some of the best football players in the world, in addition to some light-hearted, fan-centric competitions.

Events include: 40-yard dash, cone drill, field goal competition, punt catch, quarterback competition, shuttle run, tackle dummy obstacle, vertical jump, hot dog eating contest and tailgate set-up.

Fans can compete in any event they wish or run the gauntlet of all 10. Scores will be recorded and displayed on the videoboards in real time, and participants could also be interviewed on the TV stage. The Field Club will be open to families to tour and watch the event.

Fans are encouraged to sign up at OMYearoftheFan.com. Early registrants will receive a Year of the Fan Pro Day t-shirt. As recruitable prospects, students in grades 9-12 and non-Ole Miss college students may not participate in Fan Pro Day by NCAA rule.

Fan Pro Day is one of many special events Ole Miss has planned in 2018 for the Year of the Fan, as the athletics department says a yearlong “thank you” to Rebel Nation for its devotion.

From swinging for the fences at Swayze Field to selecting the football team uniform to serving as honorary coach for the spring game, Rebel faithful will be treated to special access, recognition, ticket bonuses and countless exclusive opportunities throughout the 12-month celebration.

Fans should visit OMYearoftheFan.com for these exclusive opportunities and to submit stories showcasing their Rebel fandom.
