Detric Bing-Dukes Signs with Ole Miss Football

OXFORD, Miss. – For the second straight day, Ole Miss Football has signed a transfer linebacker to help bolster the 2016 defense with the addition of Iowa Western Community College’s Detric Bing-Dukes on Thursday.

Bing-Dukes will be a sophomore with three years to play three in Oxford, beginning this fall.

A native of Tucker, Georgia, Bing-Dukes started his college career at the University of Georgia and redshirted his first year in Athens in 2014.

He transferred to Iowa Western and helped the Reivers to a 10-2 record last year, contributing 76 total tackles, 2.5 sacks, two interceptions and a fumble recovery. He returned one of his interceptions for a 98-yard touchdown and also found the end zone after his one fumble recovery. He posted double-digit tackles on three occasions.

The 6-foot-1, 232-pound inside linebacker was a 4-star high school prospect when he signed with Georgia. He was rated as the No. 14 middle linebacker in the country by and No. 19 by Both sites had him as a top-30 overall prospect in the state of Georgia. He helped Tucker High School to back-to-back state playoffs, including a Class AAAAA state runner-up finish as a senior in 2013 when he was named first team All-State by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and Georgia Sports Writers Association.

Bing-Dukes joins Oregon State transfer linebacker Rommel Mageo as the newest members of the consensus top-10 rated 2016 signing class that was ranked as high as No. 4 nationally by on National Signing Day (Feb. 3).
