2013 Spring Practice Schedule

OXFORD, Miss. – Ole Miss held its first night time practice of the spring under the lights at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium on Monday night.

The two-hour workout included a team period at the end in which the offense performed well.

“We had some good things happen there in that last team period,” head coach Hugh Freeze said. “There was a big run by Jeff (Scott). There were some good things that happened.”

Freeze also talked about backup quarterback Maikhail Miller’s progress this spring.

“Up and down,” Freeze assessed. “I think he’s got some good tools. His arm strength is as good as you want. He’s just still a young kid and we’ve got to keep coaching him.”

Rising junior wide receiver Donte Moncrief sat out practice with a shoulder injury that Freeze said is not serious.

The Rebels will hit the practice fields again on Wednesday at 8 a.m. for their ninth spring practice.

All spring practices are open to the public. Use of cell phones and cameras are prohibited for fans at practice, and fans must remain in the designated area. Fans are not allowed between the practice fields.

For an updated schedule of practice times and locations, please refer to the 2013 Spring Practice Schedule button located on the left side of the OleMissSports.com football home page. All information is tentative and subject to change.

Spring ball will culminate with the 2013 BancorpSouth Grove Bowl on Saturday, April 13, at 1 p.m. Admission to the game is free this year.
