Grove Bowl Preview

OXFORD, Miss. - Ole Miss held its final practice Friday before the finale of spring football drills, the BancorpSouth Grove Bowl set for 1 p.m. CT at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium.

With the program holdings its annual coaches' clinic, approximately 100 high school and junior college coaches from around the state were on hand for the Rebels' 60-minute, afternoon workout in helmets and shorts in the Indoor Practice Facility.

"Everybody is excited and geared up for tomorrow," said Ole Miss head coach Houston Nutt. "We're looking forward to it."

Nutt was reluctant to name a leader in the quarterback race as spring draws to a close but did say he is pleased with the progress of junior Randall Mackey.

"I've been proud of him, first and foremost, with huddle etiquette," Nutt said. "I don't think that's going to be an issue. I'm excited about that."
