GREENSBORO, Ga. – Ole Miss head football coach Hugh Freeze teamed up with former hoops star Sean Tuohy at the Chick-fil-A Bowl Challenge golf tournament, which ended Tuesday and raised $763,000 toward scholarships and charities.

The Ole Miss duo won $20,000 for scholarship funds by finishing in a tie for eighth place at 6-under par with Tennessee, South Carolina, Miami and North Carolina in the 15-team field.

Georgia Tech won the tournament at 10-under par.

“Our congratulations go out to team Georgia Tech for a great victory today. Coach Johnson and Jon Barry really brought their ‘A’ game today,” said Gary Stokan, Chick-fil-A Bowl president and CEO. “We were all blessed to have so many great universities represented out here today and we feel fortunate to be in a position to help deliver more than $750,000 in scholarship and charity through this year’s Chick-fil-A Bowl Challenge.”

On Monday, Freeze placed second in the coaches' Long Drive Competition. With a distance of 276.3 yards, Freeze finished only behind Miami’s Al Golden, who defended his 2011 title with a length of 303 yards.
