OXFORD, Miss. - Three more Ole Miss Rebels have been picked up by NFL teams as rookie free agents, following the 2013 NFL Draft.

E.J. Epperson is with the Kansas City Chiefs, Wesley Pendleton with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Ferbia Allen with the Miami Dolphins.

They join the five previously announced rookie free agents from Ole Miss: Uriah Grant (Jacksonville Jaguars), A.J. Hawkins (Kansas City Chiefs), Gilbert Pena (Green Bay Packers), Gerald Rivers (St. Louis Rams) and Murphy Holloway (Baltimore Ravens).

Epperson moved from offense to defense prior to his senior year and was effective as a defensive end in 2012, compiling 23 tackles with 4.0 TFLs and a sack. The Humboldt, Tenn., native also broke up three passes and forced two fumbles.

Pendleton had his senior year cut short by injury, but started the first six games at cornerback and registered 13 tackles, a TFL and two pass break-ups. After the Natchez, Miss., native transferred to Ole Miss from Copiah-Lincoln Community College, he immediately became a full-time starting cornerback for the Rebels as a junior and made 19 tackles and broke up four passes.

Allen, a native of Pine Bluff, Ark., finished his four-year Ole Miss career with 48 games played and 31 starts as a tight end. He caught 25 passes for 304 yards ,including eight for 138 as a senior, with one touchdown. He was even better known for his blocking ability and being a leader on offense.

This group continues a rich tradition of Rebels in the NFL, which includes 279 all-time draft picks and 19 first-round selections. A total of 24 former players were on NFL rosters during the 2012 season, including two Pro Bowlers (Patrick Willis, Eli Manning), a world champion (Michael Oher) and 12 full-time starters.
