CLEVELAND, Ohio – The first wave of preseason all-conference teams was released Thursday, and Ole Miss was represented by four players – Charles Sawyer, Mike Marry, Donte Moncrief and Tobias Singleton – in Phil Steele’s 2012 College Football Preview.

Topping the list is Sawyer, who was named to the Preseason All-SEC third team. The junior safety finished third in the SEC with 13 passes defended and tied for 23rd in the nation and sixth in the SEC with four interceptions in the fall.

Marry (LB), Moncrief (WR) and Singleton (KR) were selected to the All-SEC fourth team. Steele picked Marry, a junior linebacker, for this postseason third team in the fall, when he tied for 14th in the league in tackles.

Moncrief garnered 2011 Freshman All-American distinction after tying for sixth in the nation among true freshmen with four touchdown catches, while Singleton ranked sixth in the SEC with a 24.6-yard kick return average in his first season in the Red and Blue.
