OXFORD, Miss. – The excitement of the opening week of football season on the Ole Miss campus includes a Thursday pep rally and the premieres of the weekly radio and television shows.

Fans are invited to join the Rebel spirit squads, band and others for a kickoff pep rally Thursday at 6 p.m. in The Grove. There will be games and prize giveaways leading up to the season debut of "RebTalk with Coach Houston Nutt" at 6:30 p.m.

Beginning this season, the show, which is hosted by the "Voice of the Rebels" David Kellum and includes special guests, will broadcast Thursdays from 6:30-7:30 p.m. on home weekends from the Grove Stage and on road weekends from Rooster's Blues House on the Oxford Square.

Fans may send in their questions through the RebTalk Coach's Connection by visiting OleMissSports.com/rebtalk.

Most affiliates on the Ole Miss Radio Network are airing RebTalk, including WTNM-FM 105.5 in Oxford. OleMissSports.com's RebelVision also streams the show live.

Also kicking off this week is the creative new weekly TV series, “The Season: Ole Miss Football,” which provides a behind-the-scenes look at the Rebel program. The first episode will be available on-demand on RebelVision Wednesday.

Beginning next week, the show may be seen Thursdays at 4 p.m. on CSS and Cox Cable, 5 p.m. on Fox SportSouth and 10 p.m. on MyMS-TV. “The Season: Ole Miss Football” will be available on RebelVision beginning each Thursday.

RebelVision also provides subscribers with the Ole Miss Radio Network call of the action each gameday, including pregame and postgame shows hosted by Richard Cross and Brett Norsworthy. Kellum is back for his 22nd season as the network's play-by-play announcer and will be joined by Harry Harrison with color analysis and Stan Sandroni on the sideline.
