Aug. 30, 2016

OXFORD, Miss. -- If you've missed watching new episodes of "The Season: Ole Miss Football" each week since last fall, the wait is almost over.

The Emmy award-winning weekly program returns for a sixth season on Wednesday, Aug. 31. The season premiere will debut to the world at 6 p.m. CT and will be shown locally at Rafters Bar and Grill on the Oxford Square.

Visit www.TheSeasonOleMiss.com to watch new episodes each week.

The documentary-style show, directed by Ole Miss Sports Productions' Chris Sabo and produced by Michael Thompson, Micah Ginn, Shane Sanford and Sabo, features behind-the-scenes footage of Ole Miss Football, including practice, games, interviews, campus and home life. Much like HBO's "Hard Knocks" and ESPN's "E:60" shows, "The Season: Ole Miss Football" delves deeply into the stories of Rebel student-athletes, coaches and staff for a closer look at who they are as people.

"We are excited for another year of The Season, bringing an entertaining, in-depth look to Ole Miss Football," Sabo said. "Our staff has another year under our belts, and we have been hard at work highlighting the personalities of Ole Miss student-athletes. We have some terrific profiles set for this year and look forward to showcasing them on The Season."

The Ole Miss Sports Productions team consists of Ginn, Sabo, Sanford, Will Boone, Ryan Cochran, John Lassiter, Stewart Pirani, Tyler Rosten, Mo Smith, Seth Tanner and Kyle Toot, with assistance from undergraduate students. Earlier this year, the department won two Emmy awards -- one for "One Time Special" and another for "Writing".
